Welcome to Classics & Cheese, where I give my opinion on books, movies, television, and whatever else strikes my fancy, with a focus on works in the horror, fantasy, or science fiction genres.
Over the next few weeks, please be patient with any broken links and/or changes you may see as I physically switch servers. I'm going to attempt to make this as painless as possible for my visitors.

The National Endowment For The Arts chose Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 as 2006's book for "The Big Read".

This wonderful novel tells the story of fireman Guy Montag, in a future where a fireman's sole responsibility is to burn books and the places that house them. It is an eye-opening story of censorship, societal fears, and ultimately, personal sacrifice.

This should be required reading for everyone on the planet.

Buffy "Season 8"
Beginning March 2007, Dark Horse began publishing "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: 'Season 8'". This is the Joss Whedon written line of Buffy comics that picks up where the television series ended.

Late night, last fall, I surfed through the television channels looking for something to watch, when I stumbled across the listing "Werewolf in a Girls Dorm". Unable to resist a title like that, I brought the channel surfing to a screeching halt, and after a few minutes, realized that I had discovered my new favorite show:
Off Beat Cinema.
These late night movie hosts are the funniest and most off-beat gang of characters I've seen in a while.

Check out the page I'm slowing building to honor their fine late night frivolity.

Look at the title. How could I NOT buy this CD?

Actually, I like classical music and this CD is perfect for peaceful background music while reading.
